Pajarito Scientific Corporation (PSC) was founded in 1986 as a result of the technology transfer from Los Alamos National Laboratory of new and improved NDA equipment and methods.
PSC was sold to BNFL in 1997. This transition allowed expansion and development of its business in order to capture additional market share. It’s name was changed to BNFL Instruments, Inc. in 1997. In 2007, the company was purchased by the current owners, who established it’s corporate office in Santa Fe, NM under it’s original name, PSC. In 2014, PSC aquired a sister company, Radiation Protections Systems (RPS), and are currently in the process of integrating into one combined enhanced entity.
PSC’s headquarters are located in Santa Fe, New Mexico supported by our office in Groton, CT. PSC operates on many customer sites across the United States including Los Alamos, NM, Oak Ridge, TN and Hanford, WA. We also support the global nuclear industry with sales offices throughout the US and in the UK.
PSC’s core expertise lies in the location, identification and characterization of radioactive materials. It provides state-of-the-art services through equipment, systems, and consultancy support to companies, national laboratories, and institutions. Its efforts are focused on solving difficult nuclear materials man-agement problems requiring the identification, segregation, characterization, assay, packaging and ultimate disposition of nuclear materials and/or nuclear wastes.
PSC is proud to be an American-owned small business.
